Obituary

Johnny "Mack" Williams was born on October 19, 1939 to the late Mr. John Patterson Williams and Mrs. Emma Wright Williams in Seneca, SC.

Early Thursday morning, February 18, 2021, "Mack" peacefully went home to meet his Lord and Savior.

Mack graduated from Atkins High School and Guildford Technical Institute. Mack was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War where he received several medals of honor for his service. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, serving a total of 44 years for U.S. Government. He was also a Master Carpenter and self-taught engineer, owning and operating a successful upholstery business.

Mack was a faithful member of Faith of God Ministries for 37 years. He enjoyed being active in the church and he loved his church family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of 57 years Shirley Couthen Williams; seven loving children, Janice (Anthony) Clinton, Kathy Williams Smith, Kenneth Williams, Karyn Williams, Kerrick Williams, Kerrmitt (Kenya) Williams, Konya Williams Parker; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a loving brother-in-law, Samuel (Jean) Counthen; sisters-in-law Betty C. Wesley and Tawanda T. Triplet; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
