Mr. Johnnie Black, Jr. was called home Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Oak Forest Nursing Home. He was born May 10, 1933 to John and Helen Black. He was a Baptist by faith and retired from Taylor Brothers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Queen Crosby; his mother; his father and stepmother, John and Naomi Black.

Mr. Black leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Johnny, III, Tyrone Black, and Gregory Clark; two step-sons, Danny and Al Crosby; one step-daughter, Tymphony Crosby; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, January 30, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Mattie Young officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12 Noon on Friday at the Chapel.
