On Sunday, April 5, 2020, God sent his loving angels to welcome his daughter, Johnetta R. Thompson, affectionately known as "Princess", into the Gates of Heaven.  She was a 1985 graduate of Parkland High School in Winston-Salem, NC and attended Barbizon Beauty College.  She then went on to Forsyth Tech Community College where she studied Criminal Justice.  She then moved to Tennessee for 3 years to enroll in Draughon Business College.  After her educational experiences, she became employed by Alarm Masters Corp. for approximately 10 years.  She moved back to Winston-Salem, NC and began working for Lowes Corp. in Wilkesboro as an Executive Secretary until she resigned due to her illness.

"Princess" was a devoted daughter, wife, and auntie to a host of nieces and nephews.  Princess was well-known for her outgoing personality, infectious smile, cooking skills, and her model walk.  Princess loved to travel to new places and meet new people.  She was a giver and loved with her whole heart.  She would give you the shirt off of her back.  She is loved and will be missed dearly by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her father and aunt.

She leaves to mourn her devoted husband, Roland Cobbins; mother, Audrey; sisters, Sabrina, Candi, and Tam; brothers, Tim, Clyron, and James; four other siblings from an extended family; brothers-in-law, Clarence (Berma), Alphonzo, Ronald, Vincent, and Reggie (Shanita); sisters-in-law, Paula and Stephanie; special friends, Tarsha and Gracie; and a host of extended family and friends.
