Mr. John Henry Woods, 76, departed this life on June 27, 2014 at his home. He was born November 14, 1937 to the late Lily Beatrice Woods, but was raised by his aunt, the late Luticia Clark.

He was a graduate of Atkins High School. John was a "Master Technician". He was a "self- made man". John believed in entrepreneurship. He was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, W-S, NC.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore and Edward Tolliver; and one sister, Bessie Evans.

John is survived by his children, Tyrone Woods and C. Lynne Woods both of W-S, NC; four brothers, Michael, Willie, George and Robert (Mavolia) Tolliver; three sisters, Thomasenia Hunter, Jeanette and Arlene Tolliver all of W-S, NC; devoted niece, Melinda Evans; devoted cousins, Thomas & Earnestine Woods; a devoted friend, Beverly Cobb; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7pm Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Hash officiating. The family visitation will be held from 6pm until 7pm on Wednesday at the Church.
