Obituary
On February 22, 2007, God called Mr. John Lee Transou home to glory from Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington, NC. He was born on April 16, 1919 to John Henry Transou and Martha Sprinkle Transou.
He graduated from Dunbar High School in Lexington, NC and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church and was retired from Foltz Concrete and Pipe Company.
John Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his devoted wife, Elizabeth Transou; his step mother; one son; one grandson; six brothers; and seven sisters.
John Lee leaves to remember him, one daughter; one son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; one grandson; four sisters; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held today, February 27, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Goodwill Baptist Church with the Reverend Philemon A. Samuels officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. The family visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Church.
