Mr. John Clarence Taylor, 73, of Winston-Salem, NC was called home on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born March 23, 1942 to Matt and Flossie Phillips Taylor. He attended Atkins High School. John left in the early 60's for a better life to Chicago, IL where he retired from Nestle. He moved back to Winston-Salem, NC where he resided and worked for Arbor Acres.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis Taylor and Carlos "Lee" Taylor; and two sisters, Louise Taylor and Florita Taylor.

"Clarence" as we called him, leaves to cherish his memories his three sisters, Connie Taylor, Margarette Taylor of W-S, NC and Mary Sales of Chicago, IL; one brother, Lester Taylor of W-S, NC; a devoted niece, Brenda Taylor; devoted nephew, Barry Taylor; one aunt, Signora Phillips Petty; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Monday at the Chapel.
