Mr. John A. Thomas, Sr. departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center. He was born on July 7, 1955 to the late Virginia Thomas and Samuel Belcher.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Austin-Thomas; daughters, Dawn and Latosha Austin; son, John Thomas, Jr.; grandchildren, Antonia Myers, Brionna and Bernard Miller, III; sisters, Sandra Thomas of Baltimore, MD and Winifred Hauser; brothers, Harold Thomas, Keith (Michelle)Thomas of Baltimore, MD, Reginald (Natalie) Hauser of Indianapolis, IN, and Kenneth Hauser of Baltimore, MD; and a host of family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 12noon until 5:00pm Friday, July 24, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home.  Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020.
