Mr. John Bynum Mickle, 63 of 7011 Windover Drive, Durham, NC passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Treyburn Healthcare Facility.
He was born November 23, 1944 in Winston-Salem, NC to George W. and Lillian Bynum Mickle.
He was a 1962 graduate of Atkins High School, a 1966 graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Mr. Mickle was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, Highland Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC and a faithful member of Cain's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Hillsborough, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James G. Mickle; and one sister, Georgia Mickle Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joan Morris Mickle of the home; two daughters, Jovanna (Dennis) Nembhard and Joy Mickle; two grandsons, Jamison and John; four brothers, Dennis (Pearl) Mickle, Roscoe (Dorothy) Mickle, George and David Mickle; four sisters, Annie McRae, Lillian (Clarence) Stephens, Lillie "MJ" Mickle, and Andrea' Bush; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm today, June 14, 2008 from the Cain's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Hillsborough, NC. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1pm today at the Church.
