John Henry Marlin, Sr., 73, was born June 17, 1944 in Woodleaf, NC to Jones and Alma Marlin.

He departed this life peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center on March 12, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his blessed parents, Jones and Alma Marlin.

He is survived by his 3 loving children, Melanie (Clay) Marlin-Hardy, John Jr. (Sharlata) Marlin, James (Tonya) Marlin; his 8 loving siblings; his 7 grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 12:30pm on Friday at the Chapel.
