Mr. John Wilfet Jones, Sr., known as "ROGER", passed away on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Mr. Jones was employed with the City of Winston-Salem.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Wilfet Jones, Jr.; his daughter, Rosalyn Jones; and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Mae Jones Woods.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Bobbie Jean Jones; devoted daughters, April Sprinkle and Tomiko Sprinkle; two granddaughters, Stacy Jones and Miracle Lajoi Sprinkle; one grandson, Shaquille Ras-had Smith; his mother, Victoria Jones of Orangeburg, SC; two sisters, Margie (SGT Patrick) Frazier and Alma (Leon) Pough both of Orangeburg, SC; four brothers, Elijah Jones of Winston-Salem, NC, Willie G. Jones of Charlotte, NC, Henry C. Jones and Frank Mizzel both of South Carolina; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 12 NOON from the Chapel of the Russell Funeral Home with Reverend Willie Mintz officiating. Interment will be held in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The family visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12 NOON on Wednesday at the Chapel.
