Jimmie Brown was born November 4, 1944 in Florence, South Carolina. Jimmie attended Florence County public schools. He was employed by Craven Country Ham House for many years, Bud Services at Westinghouse and he owned a Landscaping Company known as Brown's Landscaping.

If he was not listening to music, then you could find him watching sports on TV. His favorite team was the Red Skins now known as the Washington Commanders.

He always found time for friends and family- just enjoying their company. If there was a gathering, you could find Jimmie grilling out.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother, Ovelia Brown; and his son, Jimmie Bryant Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his sister Beatie Brown Malone; his brother, Jesse Junior Brown; his children, Theodore Ackers, Renea Allen, Tammy Miller (Daryl), Crystal Brown Hairston (Nathaniel), Penny Brown-Needham Ferguson (Carl), Tracy Daniels, and Jamon Brown; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; his aunts, Mary Anne Epps (Wade) and Viola Bradley; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:00noon on Friday at the Chapel.
