Mr. Jimmel C. Williams, 76, was born on January 3, 1945 to the late George and Essie Williams. He passed away on October 19, 2021, after a brief illness.

His early education was at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic school from First - Eight grades and he completed education within the Winston-Salem Public school system (Anderson High School). He retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company after 34 years of service.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Conrad, Tonny, and Harvey Williams; and one sister, Irma Dean Williams Woods; and two brothers-in-law, Willie Lyles and Robert Lyles.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beatrice Lyles Williams; four children, Carol W. Dunlap of Charlotte, NC, Michael (Sherry) Williams, Sandra W. George, and Pamela Williams of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Terry (Alesia) Williams of Clinton, MD and Paul (Marilynn) Williams; and one sister, Judy W. Donovant of Winston-Salem, NC; one granddaughter, Courtney (DeShawn) Lumpkins of Princeton, West Virginia; two great grandchildren, Azaria' George of Winston-Salem, NC and Amiir George of Princeton, West Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Bravett (Clara) Lyles of Winston-Salem, NC and Joseph (Robin) Lyles of Baltimore, MD; one sister-in-law, Brenda Lyles of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021.
