Jerome Tyler Witherspoon, Jr., "Big Spoon", born December 6, 1963 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2011. Jerome graduated from East Forsyth High School and attended Johnson C. Smith University. His passion was coaching Little League football and baseball.
Jerome is survived by his daughter, Tyler Fulton; granddaughter, Miasia; parents, Jerome & Peggy Witherspoon Sr.; brother, John-Troy (Crystal) Witherspoon, sister, Rhea (Leonardo Horn) Witherspoon; nieces, Brelynn, BriAna & Rachel; nephews, Alexander, Tavis, Jordan & Chris; God-sons, Monte' Anthony and Ronald Hackett. He cherished and embraced a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30am Saturday, July 23, 2011 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Juanita B. Tatum officiating and Reverend Anthony Hines Eulogist. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:30am on Saturday at the Church.
