Obituary

Jeramie Alexander Marlin was born June 12, 1980 in Indianapolis, IN.  He graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Memphis, TN where it was an honor for his Dad, principal, to present him with his high school diploma.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Administration Management (GPA 3.7) and a Master of Public Administration (GPA 3.5) both from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC.  Jeramie was pursuing a doctorate degree through Capella University.   He was currently employed by AT&T in Minneapolis, MN.  He was able to participate in several charitable events sponsored by AT&T that served the needs of the homeless in Minneapolis.

Jeramie was baptized at  Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ in Indianapolis, IN at a very early age.  He attended the Minneapolis Church of Christ where he had the pleasure of driving a group of youth to the youth conference.  He LOVED to travel. Canada, China, France, Mexico, Tobago, and Trinidad are just a few of the countries that he was able to visit.   He was fascinated with technology.  Technology not only helped him to manage his own home in Minneapolis but also monitor mom and dad's home 1200 miles away.   Jeramie also had a  musical ear and was able to play several instruments.  He also enjoyed gardening.  He was so proud of his tomato patch and the beautiful flowers that he planted in the front of his home.

Jeramie is survived by his mother, Mazie Lee Capers Marlin; his father, Jerry Lee Marlin; and one brother, Jarrett Braxton Marlin (Talitha Brown Marlin).  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins who all had a role in helping him to become the man that he became.   There were friends in Minneapolis who he considered as his family away from home, Thomas and Xee Yang, Adrian Kemp and Ebony Johnson.  We thank you for being his friends.  Jeramie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Eloise Capers; and his paternal grandparents, Jones and Alma Marlin; John H. Marlin aka Uncle Jimmy, Alphonso Capers aka Uncle Al; and Aunt Mary Turner.

Jeramie came home to celebrate his brother's birthday and attend his brother's wedding.  Jeramie, your lil bro is now a year older and a married man.

Rest in peace son and brother, until we meet  again!
