Obituary

Mr. Jeffery Alexander McMillian, II was born on September 22, 1998 to Jeffery Alexander and Vulnavia Singletary McMillian.  He transitioned from Earth to Glory on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC, making his stay on Earth 23 years.

Jeffery attended Thurgood Marshall Elementary School in Ashtabula, Ohio then transferred to Flat Rock Elementary School in Winston-Salem, NC. Jeffery graduated from Parkland Magnet High School in 2016 and was the lead tuba player.

He then received a college degree as an automotive technician. He went on to pursue a master's degree in Automotive Technology.  Jeffery was employed by Flow Honda in Winston-Salem, NC as the lead technician.

Jeffery married the love of his life, Hosanna Dean McMillian. To this union was born a daughter, Kensley Neveah McMillian.

Jeffery was a member of the 50 Degrees Motorcycle Club.  He was blessed to receive a boat that he cherished from his father-in-law.  He felt like you weren't a man until you owned a boat.  He worked, fixed it up, and the rest was history.

Jeffery attended Judah Ministries with his wife under the leadership of Pastor Chris Dean and Dr. Karen Dean.  He also loved to attend St. Peter's Church & World Outreach Center under the leadership of Bishop J.C. Hash, Sr. Jeffery dearly loved his gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexandria Ruvel'Lynn McMillian; his PawPaw, Ferrell Bryan; and his grandmother, Sena Rose Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and daughter of the home, Hosanna and Kensley McMillian; father and mother, Jeffery and Vulnavia McMillian of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters, Porsha Sawyers and Yasmine Singletary both of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers, James Good, III of Ashtabula, OH, Jamar Sawyers and Jerome Sawyers both of Galax, VA; grandfather, Harold McMillian of Independence, VA; granny, Vickey Bryan of Independence, VA; maternal grandparents, Cynthia and Damian Moyer of Ashtabula, OH; aunts, Tanya (Bill) McMillian of Winston-Salem, NC, Nicole Brown of Charlotte, NC, and Tamara (Author) Miller of Ashtabula, OH; uncles, Brad McMillian of Independence, VA, Chad (Ashley) McMillian of Roanoke, VA, Johny Singletary of Ashtabula, OH, and Jarvis Singletary of Praire, TX; father and mother-in-law, Pastor Chris and Dr. Karen Dean of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nina (Brandon) Johnson, Jamaica Dean (Kwame Pope), and Charisma (Justin) Dunn all of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of great-aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. Peter's Church & World Outreach Center.  The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
