Jeanette Taylor departed this life on Monday August 15, 2016. She entered this life on a late spring day of June 8, 1939 in Winston-Salem, NC.
She was born to the late David Taylor and the late Lorraine Taylor. She was the oldest of four children born to this union.
Jeanette was a graduate of Atkins High School and (E.C.P.I.) Electronic Computer Programing Institute. She retired from RJ Reynolds after twenty-six years of service.
Her early Christian experience was through the Seventh Day Adventist crusades under the pastorship of Dr. E.E. Cleveland. She was baptized by him and became a member of the Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church at an early age. She often reminisced about her fond memories of fellowships at the
Ephesus Church located on Third and Dunleith Street.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her sister, Helen Archie; brother-in-law, George Archie; brother, Kenneth Taylor; and a daughter, Debra Taylor Wall..
She leaves to cherish her loving memory sons, David of Charlotte, NC and Curtis Jr.; daughters, Karen, Jacqueline (Ricky) and Sandra (Kelly) of Concord, NC; sister, Connie of Upper Marlboro, MD; aunt, Nancy Fulp (Theodore); grandchildren, Mark Anthony, Victoria, Christopher, Kelly Jr., Justin and Jordan; great grandchildren, Camden and Lawson; nephews, Kenneth (Jackie), George Jr.(Melinda), Devin and Delbert of Upper Marlboro, MD; nieces, Robin of Philadelphia, PA, Keeta, April, Kristen, Monica (John), Khalil, Jordan and Naomi; two special sisters Cora Harper and Sandra Eldridge; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, August 22, 2016 at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church, W-S with Pastor Godwin Mitchell, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Monday at the Church.
