Jeanette Tolliver was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC. She transitioned from this life at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on November 11, 2025 after a brief illness.

Jeanette was born July 18, 1946 to the late Lillie Beatrice Tolliver and John Baxter Tolliver. Jeanette attended Atkins High School and was a homemaker.

She loved making sweet potato and apple pies for her entire family.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, her sister, Bessie Evans; and three brothers, Theodore Tolliver, Edward Tolliver and John Henry Woods.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted daughter and son-in-law, Wilhelmina Wilson (Kenneth); a son, Michael Tolliver; three grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Njeri Tolliver, Kenyonnia Wilson and Kenneth "KJ" Wilson, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Amarien Shipp-Tolliver, Jhia Gibbs, Jhoi Gibbs and Jhianna Gibbs; two sisters, Thomasina Hunter and Arlene Tolliver; four brothers, Robert Tolliver (Malvolia), George Tolliver, Willie Tolliver (Tonya) and Michael Tolliver (Jackie); a God brother, David Gibson; countless nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; special cousins, the Woods and Williams families; and longtime companion, Calvin McDaniels, Jr.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Friday, November 21, 2025 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Samuel P.L. Hickerson officiating. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 1:30pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
