Mrs. Janie McGill Johnson was born November 27, 1935, to the late Rev. Charlie L. and Mrs. Ellen McGill in Johnsonville, SC.
She passed away May 28, 2013.
She attended the public schools and was a member of St. James Baptist Church in Johnsonville.
After completing high school, Janie moved to Patterson, NJ. She transitioned from life to eternity on May 27, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
She was employed at Topps Dry Cleaners in New Jersey, retiring after many years. After retirement, Janie moved to Winston-Salem and became associated with Fields White to Harvest Ministry.
Left to cherish her memory are four sisters, Rev. Lula M. (Rev. H.S.) Williams of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Cora Gibbs of Sicklerville, NJ, Mrs. Essie King of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. Rosa Fryar of Clinton, NC; three brothers, Charlie (Jean) McGill of San Diego, CA, Rev. Isaiah Baily of Memphis, TN, and James (Nola) Baily of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Saturday at the Chapel.
