Janice Ruth Sanders Jackson transitioned from this earth to eternity on June 24, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Center.  Janice Jackson was born March 3, 1945 to the late Otis E. Sanders and Margie C. Sanders.

Janice was a 1963 graduate of Paisley High School.  She attended Winston-Salem State University and Forsyth Technical Community College.  Janice worked for Hanes Hosiery, AT&T, and Gilbarco.  She retired from Baptist Hospital after 25 years of service.

Janice was a life-long member of Central Triad Church where she was active with the Prayer Team, The 55 Plus Group, the choir, The Praise Team, and the productions of The Lost Shepherd and Stix and Stones.

Janice leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 25 years, John Jackson; two children, a devoted daughter, Rhonda (Darrell) Fields and her son, Jonathan Richard Attucks and his devoted friend, Ebonne Love all of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Farrah Fields, Sahara Attucks, Thomas Fields, and Noah Attucks; three sisters, Patsy Todd, Lottie (Bobbie) Barber, and Mattie (James) Brock; and a host of other relatives and friends. We give special thanks to Gwendolyn Barkley for her untiring kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Central Triad Church with Lead Pastor Michael Kelly officiating and Sr. Pastor Leroy Kelly eulogist. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
