Jane LeGrant was born on April 14, 1948 to the late David Brown and Mary Helen Brown McCants. She is survived by her husband, Harvey D. LeGrant and siblings David N. Brown II, and Margretta Brown.

Her commitment to serving and supporting others in the church and the community was unwavering. She retired from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with over 30 years of service. Jane was also a devoted member of Progressive Apostolic Church, serving in a variety of capacities over the years, including the Missionary Department, Usher Board, Choir, and Youth Department.

Family was her priority. She called each of her children David LeGrant (Stephonie), Maurice LeGrant (Latoshua), Japhet LeGrant (DelShana), Kerry LeGrant (Ruth), and Alicia LeGrant daily. Sharing moments and creating memories with her grandchildren, Victoria LeGrant, Marissa LeGrant, Japhet LeGrant, Jr. (Rose), Tamryn LeGrant, Jonathan LeGrant, Knobel LeGrant, and Kamuel LeGrant brought her extreme happiness. She also recently, joyfully welcomed her first great-grandchild, Arielle LeGrant.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, October 14, 2022 at Progressive Apostolic Church, 432 Crews Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 with Bishop Ricky B. Wilson officiating and Elder Kacie O. Moore, Jr. eulogist.

Interment will be held at 10:00am Monday, October 17, 2022 in Salisbury National Cemetery.
