Jane Albertina Chalmers passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2009 at Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center. She was a native of Winston-Salem, NC and resided at 1637 Longview Drive in the Morningside Community. She was born May 3, 1969 to James and Geraldine Chalmers. She was a graduate of Robert B. Glenn High School in Kernersville, NC and King's College in Charlotte, NC. She was an employee for ten years at Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center as a unit secretary.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Chalmers.
Left to cherish her memories are her father, James Chalmers; two daughters, Lakeesha and Asia Chalmers; two brothers, Cedric (Laquana) Glenn and Gerald (Teresa) Chalmers; two aunts, Jeanette Johnson and Robin Young; two uncles, John Chalmers of Hyattsville, MD and Luther Sturkey of Clinton, SC; one great uncle, Willie Jackson; and a host of nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Leak officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11am until Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
