Jane Elizabeth Weeks Caesar was born June 9, 1929 in Hamilton, Bermuda. She was born to the late Mr. William H. Weeks and the late Beatrice Alberta Williams Weeks. She transitioned this life on Wednesday Janurary 19, 2022 in Iredell County, North Carolina. She was known among family and friends as "Cook", "Cat", "Lada", "Lizzy", and "Mom". She attended Berkeley Institute in Bermuda for secondary school education. Later she attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for Nursing School and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Several years later she also graduated from The Bermuda College with a specialty in Geriatric Care. Jane worked at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in various nursing positions for several years, she later worked at Lefroy House caring for the elderly where she later retired. She also became a licensed beautician and opened a beauty parlor in which she managed as her business for several years. Jane was also a member of the Honorary Elk Lodge Association in Winston-Salem, NC.
Jane was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in South Hampton Bermuda and Seventh Day Adventist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. She loved to do hair for family and friends, crochet, knit, sew, private duty nursing, travel, and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Weeks, James Weeks, David Weeks, Elijah Weeks, Joseph Weeks, Dorothy Weeks Robinson, and Mary Weeks.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving sister, Winiferd Batson of Bermuda; her loving children, Mrs. Dianna S. Jones of Winston-Salem, NC, Mr. Elliot Simons of Bermuda, Mr. Denis E.E. Simons of Bermuda, Mr. David M. Moore (Linda) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Mr. Vaughan K. Caesar (Vonnda) of Charlotte, NC; she has many beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
