Mr. Jan Perrin Bailey, 53, son of Beaufort and Pollye Bailey, was born December 26, 1965 in Washington, North Carolina.  He departed this earthly life on December 31, 2018 at his home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mr. Bailey attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools, graduating from West Forsyth High School.  He later enrolled at Winston-Salem State University, receiving a B.S. degree in English.  He was employed by the Winston-Salem Housing Authority.

Mr. Bailey was a proud member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. where he was initiated in the spring of 1986. Jan was baptized and reared in the Saint Philips Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC and later became a member of Greater Church, Winston-Salem, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Beaufort Orell Bailey; and son, Brandon D. Bailey.

He leaves to cherish most dear and precious memories his loving mother, Pollye Graves Bailey; daughter, Kayla Joy Bailey; his sister, Dr. L'Tanya Joy Bailey; brothers, Eugene Orell Bailey, Goley Jock Bailey, Reverend Dr. Nikita Joel Bailey, and twin brother, Jay Perrie Bailey; his lifetime friend, Mrs. Tabetha Childress; a host of nieces, nephews; and many dear family members and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Greater Church, 5095 Lansing Drive W-S, NC 27105.  The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
