Jamila Allah, aka Linda Anderson Massey, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in her home surrounded by family.  She was born September 6, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC to Jessie Anderson and Robert Lee Anderson, Sr.  She married Rauf Allah (Melvin Massey, Sr.) on December 21, 1958 (63 years in love) in New York.

She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with friends and family, sewing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Jamila had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

She  is survived by her husband, Rauf (Melvin Massey, Sr.); brothers, James Anderson, deceased Henry Anderson, and Robert Lee (Kathy) Anderson, Jr.; children, Deborah Anderson and Melvin (Cynthia Ennis) Massey, Jr.; grandchildren, Precious Anderson, Dimitric (Deslerri) Massey, Jania Massey, Serenitye (Carlin) Taylor, Aisha Anderson, Jade (Tyrin) Chenault, and Princess Massey; great-grandchildren, MeKaylah, Destiny, Kenadee Massey, Eliana Taylor, and Taj Chenault; nieces and nephews, Rahmiano Anderson, Rory, Randy, Crystal, RL, and Andrew Cooper; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
