Mr. James Thomas Wilson, 75, of 112 Asher Court, Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center after a period of illness.
He was born on December 27, 1930 in Winston-Salem, NC to James and Eugenia Wilson, Sr.
He was a graduate of Carver High School and attended Winston-Salem State University. He was formerly employed by the Urban League and retired from Thomasville Furniture Company.
Mr. Wilson was a member of Ionic Lodge # 72 and a former member of T.I.U.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted friend, Dorothy S. Witherspoon; one daughter, Belinda (Belton) Willis; one grandson, Belton (Shyne) Willis; cousins, Elizabeth White of Montgomery, AL, Clifton Hicks of Charlotte, NC, Jennie Wallace and James Edward Howie both of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 11:30 AM from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Christopher Manning officiating. Interment will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. The family visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Thursday at the Chapel.
