James Alex Tabb, 72, gained his wings on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at The White Oak Manor, in Charlotte, N.C.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elex and Oneather Tabb; brother, William Tabb; and sister, Cassandra Dickerson (Tabb).

He is survived by his wife Vanessa Tabb; brothers, Edward Tabb (Delaware, M.D.), Tony Tabb (Huntington, W.V.), Calvin Tabb (Beckley, W.V.), Mark Tabb (Huntington, W.V.); sister, Esther Tabb (Bluefield, W.V.); his children, LaToya A. Robinson (Columbus, O.H.), Jammi A. Tabb (Winston Salem, N.C.); his grandchildren, Deontae Robinson and TreVon Searcy (LaToya), Kiyah Brownlow, and Brielle Ivery (Jammi); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Private memorial services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021.
