Mr. James P. Mason, III, "Tray Boy" was born June 21, 1955 in Winston-Salem, NC. He departed this life at Baptist Medical Center on Monday, December 17, 2007. He attended WSFC Schools and graduated from East Forsyth High School. At an early age he professed his love for Christ and became a member of the Macedonia Worship Center. He was employed by the WSFC School System.

Tray was devoted to his family and had many, many friends who loved him. He was always cheerful, kind-hearted, and never said "no" when asked for a favor or for help. He was a good man.

The memory of Mr. Mason's life is left to be cherished by his loving wife, Selena Mason of the home; two daughters, Tracy Robertson (Ulysees) of Douglasville, GA and Robin Williams; two sons, James Monroe Mason and Bart Williams all of Winston-Salem, NC; his loving mother, Mrs. Jessie Mason of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Catherine Johnson (Ivory) of Clarksville, VA and Aletra Mason of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephews, devoted aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
