James Edward Mansel was born on January 30, 1939. He departed from this life on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was a native of Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from Atkins High School, Class of 1957. James retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company after 37 years of dedicated service.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Leaving to cherish his precious memories are his loving wife, Agatha "Dit" Mansel of 34 years; four honorable sons, Buddell and Outher Rucker both of Detroit, MI, Victor Rucker, and Al Dobson; two devoted daughters, Sheila and Wanda Rucker both of Winston-Salem, NC; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, September 13, 2008 from the Carver Road Christian Church with Pastor Clyde Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
