We come today to celebrate the life of James Johnson, Jr., who rejoins with his father, James McIlwaine; his mother, Myrtle Johnson; and his sister, Clydie Johnson.

James was a borhter and a friend, born on August 27, 1953 in Winston-Salem, NC where he lived with his sister, Barbara Jones.  He passed away April 15, 2014 unexpectedly.

In addition to his sister, James leaves behind devoted nieces and nephews, Salisa Johnson and Bryan James just to name a few; God-sister, Tandra Wilson; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and so many more friends and relatives.

James will be missed and never forgotten, we love you.  We mourn your death as we celebrate your life.  We will cherish our memories of you and we will smile when we think of you.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Theresa White officiating.  The family visitation will be held from 2pm until 3pm on Friday at the Chapel.  A private burial will be held.
