Mr. James William Hilton, 66 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 25, 2008. He was born in Jonesville, NC on November 6, 1941 to Sallie Williamson and Rooselvet Hilton.

He was employed by the Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County School System and retired from National Pipe Company.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his son, James Allen Hilton.

Mr. Hilton leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Ruby B. Hilton; two sons, Jeffrey (Alesia) Hilton and Thomas-Lee (Betty) McConniehead; one daughter, Lethan Hilton; his mother, Sallie (Charlie) Williamson all of Winston-Salem, NC; three sisters, Mary Ellen Hilton of St. Petersburg, Fl, Pronetta Dodd and Bonnie (Terah) Hammonds; one brother, Nathan Williamson; one aunt, Collen LeGrand; two brothers-in-law, Charles (Sandy) Barnes of Raleigh, NC and James Barnes of North Wilkesboro, NC; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a devoted nephew, Tyrone Hilton; a devoted family friend, Sylvia (Sam) Hickerson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30pm Friday, February 29, 2008 from the St. Matthew Apostolic Temple with Bishop Joseph P. Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 12:30 on Friday at the Church.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Heather Shearer, Hope Beechum, Ann Bogord and staff, Intensive Care Unit at Forsyth Memorial Hospital and the 8th and 9th West Oncology Unit for the care and compassion given to their husband, fathers, and son.
