James Thomas Hall, Jr. was born October 2, 1948 to the late James Thomas Hall, Sr. and Gladys Shore Hall in Forsyth County. He entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center at the age of 72. He was a 1966 graduate of Atkins High School. He entered into the United States Army in 1969 and served in the Vietnam War. He received many medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal and 2 O/S Bars. He received an honorable discharge in 1970. After the military, he attended Guilford Technical College. He was a retired employee of Microfibers.

He leaves to cherish, loving memories, his devoted wife of 48-years, Mrs. Edna Hall; daughter, Tomeka Hall; granddaughter, Alexis Matthews; two sisters, Teresa Hodge and Deborah (Ernest) Wilkins of Winston-Salem, NC; one brother, Tyrone Hall of Bowie, Maryland; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Friday, February 26, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 2651 Buchanan St. W-S, NC 27127.  Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC.
