Obituary
Mr. James Walter Dendy, 79, also known as "Pie" and "Walt", of Springwood Care Center went to his heavenly reward on Monday, May 7, 2007.
He was a long time member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 26 years of service.
Memories of Pie will be cherished by his wife Geneva; daughters, Janella Jones of Washington, DC, Waltena Robinson, Deborah and Pamela Dendy of Winston-Salem, NC; one son, James Dendy of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Erica, Jamar, and Samela; sisters, Arizona Kindle and Geneva Jeffries; brothers, Thomas (Lena) Benson and Clifton Benson both of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Donald L. Salley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
