Obituary
Mr. James A. Coleman, 63, known to family and friends as "JAMIE" was born June 12, 1949 to Otis and Gladys M. Coleman. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.
Mr. Coleman was a retired United States Marine and was the Commander of the local Disabled American Veterans Chapter. He attended WS First Assembly of God.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Algine Coleman; 7 children; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Rakes officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made 'In Memory of James A. Coleman" to the Disabled American Veterans Robert G. Tate Chapter #9; 6704 Andes Street Germanton, NC 27019.
