Mr. James Edward Bohannon was born October 22, 1945 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Frank Wilson and Minnie Bohannon.  He was also the proud and beloved son of the late Ernest and Rebecca Cuthrell.

A brother to the city of Boston, MA and an everlasting son to the city of Winston-Salem, NC, James Bohannon was a pupil of the W-S/Forsyth County School  System and a dedicated employee of Phoenix Packaging, Inc.

James leaves behind to uphold and cherish his memories a devoted sister, Brenda (Frederick "Freddy Paupaw") of Winston-Salem, NC; the mother of his three sons, Debra Bohannon of Boston, MA; his children, Sean and Brandon Bohannon both of Boston, MA, and Darrell and Sander Bohannon of Atlanta, GA; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews which he loving called "those are my boys", cousins, other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Lester Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Chapel.
