Mr. James L. Barnette, 95, was born August 4, 1918 to the late Charlie and Willie E. Barnette. He departed this life on Friday, December 20, 2013.

He worked at various Dodge dealerships in the Triad retiring from Colony Dodge after over 69 years of service. He was a devoted, lifetime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by 4 siblings; and his devoted niece, Avis "Nikki" Ray.

He is survived by his nephew and caregiver, Darryl Ray; cousins, the Gaither, the White, the Green Families, and several nieces and nephews from the Covington Family.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
