James Thomas Banner "J.T.", 80, departed this life on Sunday, January 30, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Clara Smith Banner; three brothers, John, Frank, and Elmer Banner; and one sister, Louise B. Pitts.
Surviving are his wife, Bertia Banner; three daughters, Regina B. Webb, Felecia B. (Alvin) Teal, and Jewel B. (Anthony) Venable; two sons, James Thomas Rucker and Jay Terry Banner; three sisters, Dora Anthony of Pfafftown, NC, Mary Reinhardt, and Martha Bowman of Ohio; one brother, George (Libby) Banner of Clemmons, NC; one brother-in-law, Alfonzo (Elvenia) Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Veronica (Rodger) Johnson and Apostle Brenda McCloud; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; life-long friends, Beufort Bailey and Wayne Martin "Maskman"; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:30pm on Saturday at the Church.
The family will assemble and leave from the home of his daughter, Jewel Venable, 7130 Tyner Road Walkertown, NC.
