Mr. Jacques "Peddy" Settle, the son of the late Grady Nicholson and Shirley Spease, was born in Winston-Salem NC and attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System.

He was a faithful member of Abundant Life Christian Ministries.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandfather, Theodore Settle; maternal grandmother, Lurenda Settle; and sister, Tina Nicholson Neely.

He Leaves to cherish his memory, his mother; six sisters, Beverly Settle, Dionne Settle, Jawanna Spease, Julia Johnson, Carrie Nicholson all of Winston-Salem, and Debra (Clyde) Jones of Brooklyn NY; two brothers, Ed Nicholson and Grady Nicholson Jr., both of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jacques was very friendly and never met a stranger. He loved his mother, going to church and his family along with his nieces and nephews!!!  He enjoyed singing, bowling, loved looking at Family Feud with Steve Harvey, and shopping for shoes and suits. Jacques loved to eat, and his favorite food was chicken, mac & cheese and drinking tea. He was an advent member of the Northeast Ward Community Meeting. The Carolina Panthers was his favorite football team. He will be dearly missed by all he encountered.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Friday at the Chapel.
