Isaiah Rhody was born on February 4, 1953 in Bladen County, North Carolina. He peacefully answered the Master's call on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
He received his education in the Duplin County School System. As a young adult he moved to Winston-Salem where he made his home.
He attended community churches and later joined Agape Faith Church in Clemmons, North Carolina where he served at the Official Grill Master, a member of the Band of Brothers Men's Ministry and served at the Dream Center of Forsyth County Food Bank.
He worked in the construction until retirement. Upon retiring he embraced his entrepreneurial spirit.
Isaiah was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Robinson; his parents, Lossie Mae and Norwood King, and John Pridgen, Sr. and Edna Mae Pridgen; brother, Pearley Rhodie; and sister, Jo Ann King.
Isaiah's memories will be cherished by his daughters, Collen Rhody, Shameka Rhody, LaShonda "Brown" McCandies, and Anastasia Renee McCandies of Winston-Salem, NC; sons, Jason Rhody, Dakoda Rhody, John Rhody of Lillington, NC; grandchildren, Alexandria Rhody, Autumn Rhody and Johnathan Rhody of Lillington, NC.; sisters, Bertha M. King of Rose Hill, NC, Bonnie Pridgen of Long Island, NY, Jackie (Roscoe) Smith of Clarkton, NC and Sharon Everett of Leland, NC; brothers, Jimmie Rhody of Teachey, NC, Norwood (Margaret) King of Wallace, NC, John(Eddrenia) Pridgen, Jr. of Jacksonville, NC and Levander Pridgen of Roanoke, VA; numerous God Children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, February 4, 2022 at Peter's Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 8183 South NC Highway 41 W, Wallace, NC 28466 with Rev. Tommie Newkirk officiating. Interment will follow in Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey, NC.
