Mrs. Inez Servance Shaw was born December 5, 1921 in Sumter, SC. She passed away July 28, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a period of illness.

She was a life-long member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and a retired employee of Bell South.

Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Julia Servance; her husband, Percy L. Shaw, Jr.; sister, Annie L. Wiley; and two uncles, Robert Boger and James Boger.

Immediate survivors include her birth son, Howard L. Shaw of the home; three other sons, Elmo (Annie) Lindsay, James (Cheryl) Lindsay, and Earnest (Merle) Lindsay; and a number of cousins, nephews, nieces, and other members of the extended family.

Homegoing services will be held at 12noon Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Serenus T. Churn, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
