Mrs. Inez "Louisa" Allison Rice passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
Inez retired from RJR Tobacco Co. after 40 years of service. She was a member of United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Senior Missionary Circle until her health failed. She was a member of the Unique Club and the Bowen Park Flower Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Annie Rice; five sisters; three brothers; and two sons, Clevester Rice and Willie Edward Rice.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Gladys Rice Jones (Charlie); one son, Glasco M. Rice (Anita); ten grandchildren, Sharon Hall of Acworth, GA, Kevin Hall (Eurtha) of the city, Frederick Rice (Eileen), Glasco Rice, Jr. (Devonne), Darryl Rice, Akilah R. Shaw (Daryl), Sheree Eldridge, Jonet Eldridge, and Kaashif Eldridge; fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Ben Rice of Detroit, MI and Jessie Rice of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Mable Sims of Philadelphia, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, May 27, 2011 from United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Prince Rainey Rivers officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
