Hilda C. Hoskins was born December 5, 1928 in Fayetteville, NC. She departed this earthly life November 20, 2013. She relocated to New York in 1945. It was there that she met and married the late James H. Hoskins.
Mother Hoskins accepted her Lord and Savior in 1969 in Mt .Calvary UCOG in Elizabeth, NJ. Mrs. Hilda Hoskins was a member of Pneuma PCOD in Thomasville, NC. Before her health started to decline, Mother Hoskins was an active member on many auxiliaries: Usher Board, Mother's Board, Choir, Pastor's Aide, and many others.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Grant.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughters, Celia Ann Diggs and Mildred Wade; her son, Steven Hoskins (Jennifer), and a special son-in-law, Henry Guest; nine grandchildren, Charles Tyrone Cromartie (Nikki), Tiffany Alston, Ieshia Wade, Trenice Wade, Marques Hoskins, D'ondre Hoskins, Olivia Diggs, Larissa Nunez, and Sade Scales; great-grandchildren, Tyrell, Gerald, and Diamanti Huggins, Tiasia and Xavier Cromartie, Joseph and Christian James Hoskins "CJ", Black Scales, Rakim Hughes, Jr., Payton Campbell and Kye-Lynn Campbell; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Truly a woman of God of unwavering faith; she molded her children's lives and influenced a multitude of others. You could always hear Mother Hoskins tell the people of God, to tell God "thank you." The loving matriarch leaves behind a legacy, she leaves behind a void, yet she leaves behind the peace of knowing she has gone to glory.
