Mr. Henry Ivy Lewis, Jr., of 2524 Reynolds Park Road quietly and peacefully made his transition to eternal rest on September 26, 2016. He was born June 20, 1944 to Henry I. Lewis, Sr. and Juanita Doby Lewis.

Henry was educated in the Winston Salem Forsyth County School System. He retired from RJ Reynolds after 30 years of service. He was a member of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church where he was an ordained deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 35 years, Shirley M. Lewis; and his grandson, Kevin Williams, Jr.
He leaves to mourn one daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Williams; one son, Henry (Joy) I. Lewis, III; five grandchildren, Devin (Daniel) Stephens, Briana Williams, Kaylen Williams, Shana-Ann Lewis, and Jermaine Lewis; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy McCants; one sister-in-law; one brother-in law; six nieces; one nephew; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Waymon Monroe officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
