Henry Anderson Harris of Winston-Salem, NC departed this life on August 8, 2008. He was the youngest son of Thomas and Sallie Harris both of Winston-Salem, NC.

Mr. Harris was a graduate of Atkins High School and an active member of the American Legion Post 220, where was coach of the softball team. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at R.J. Reynolds for 37 years. Henry Harris was a faithful member of Greater Cleveland Baptist Church before his health declined.

Left behind are three children to cherish his memory, Henrietta Denise Harris, Henry Brian Harris Junior, and Gene Harris all of Winston-Salem, NC; one loving sister, Corine Gwen; his former wife of 23 years Kay C. Harris; grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Harris, Quenndel Harris, Keyshawn Harris of California, Alyssia McMillan of Winston-Salem, NC; also a very special loving devoted friend, Patricia Bloome and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Charles E. Leak Pastor Emeritus of Solid Rock Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
