Ms. Helen Robertson born September 14, 1926 in Forsyth County, NC took her well deserved rest on May 5, 2022 after a brief illness.

Helen was baptized into Trinity Baptist Church by the Rev. C. M. Thorpe. She was recently appointed Mother of the Church. Helen served for many  years as a faithful member of Trinity. She was a former member of the Intermediate Gospel and Inspirational Choirs. Former Adult Sunday School teacher, a member of the kitchen committee, Missionary Society Group 3 and the Senior Usher Board.  Ms. Robertson also performed in concert at Trinity Baptist Church. Ms. Robertson gave rides to dear friends Charles Oliver and Winifred Ferrell for years faithfully.

Ms. Robertson operated Helen's Beauty Shop on High Street in Danville, VA. After closing the shop, she attended Rockingham Community College and became a Certified Nursing Assistant and retired from Danville Regional Medical Center.

She was famous for her homemade rolls, being a sharp dresser, and a beautiful hat wearing woman. After church she and her riding buddies would go to Kentucky Fried Chicken

She was preceded in death by her parents, Essie Miller and Dewey Moore; her faithful husband, Freddie Robertson; sister, Willie Anderson; niece and nephew, Danny Anderson and Vivian Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her great niece and nephew, Lee-Asmar and Rashada Compton; devoted nieces, Deborah Jackson and Alissa Young; other nephew and nieces, Aaron, Dominique, Ariel and Navaeh Jones; and a host of cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church, 399 S. Main Street, Danville, VA 24541. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Wednesday at the Church.
