Hazel Wilson Hauser, 83, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Mitchellville, MD where she resided with her daughter, Sigrid Hauser Samuel for the last year.
Hazel Wilson Hauser was born December 27, 1926 in Winston-Salem, NC to Lester and Mille Eggelston Wilson. She was a graduate of Shaw University, Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Hauser was employed by the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System as a School Teacher for 32 years. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two daughters, La Rue Hauser Black (Steve) of Parsippany, NJ and Sigrid Hauser Samuel (Charles) of Mitchellville, MD; four grandchildren, Pierre Hauser Black (Yvette), Natalie Samuel, Jennifer Samuel, and Brandon Black; a dedicated niece and nephew, Rhonda Wilson Adams and Herman Lester Wilson, Jr.; special friends, Lonnie (Braddy) Hall and Gwendolyn Hall, Robert and Frances Keith, Nancy McKee; many other nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Saturday, February 13, 2010 in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross-Haiti Fund.
