Gwendolyn Gail Breazeale , known as "Goodie" by friends and family, made her earthly departure on May 11, 2023. She lived her entire life in Winston-Salem where she graduated from Atkins High School and Russell's Commercial College.

Goodie was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she once sang on the Spiritual Choir and was a member of the Lillies Of The Field Missionaries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mary Breazeale; granddaughter, Santanora Montgomery; and her lifelong friend, Michael Johnson.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Christopher Breazeale; a brother, Andrew (Georgann) Breazeale; two sisters, Mary Lee Breazeale and Dixie (Samuel)Sheff; two lifelong friends, Phillis Jackson and Linda Acker; and also a multitude of cousin's and other family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Friday, May 19, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Saturday at the Chapel.
