Obituary
Mr. Gregory D. Tarrant, Sr. was born in Winston-Salem, NC on May 11, 1952 and went to be with his Lord on March 24, 2013.
He was a native of WS, NC and served his country in the US Army from October 30, 1974 through December 23, 1983.
He was preceded in death by his father Rev. James L. Tarrant Sr. of WS, NC; and sister, Clara Ann Tarrant of St. Louis, MO.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish their memories his friend and wife of 15 years, Mrs. Selena Tarrant of the home; his mother, Anna Tarrant of WS, NC; two brothers, James L. Tarrant Jr. of St. Louis, MO and Ivan King of WS, NC; two sisters, Lillian Miller and Doris Miller both of WS, NC; four children, Amanda (Nathaniel Jr.) Johnson of Rural Hall, NC, Gregory (Raisa) Tarrant Jr. of WS, NC, Alicia (Albert) Tarrant of WS, NC and Felicia (Chris) Tarrant of WS, NC; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, March 29, 2013 at Freedom Baptist Church, 1222 E. 14th St. with Rev. Tyrone Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
