Gregory Squires II

September 16, 1986 – June 20, 2024

Ephesians 4:32: And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Mr. Gregory "Greg" Squires II, age 37, suddenly passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. He was born September 16, 1986, in Winston-Salem to Debra and Gregory Squires. Greg graduated from West Forsyth High School (class of 2004) and attended DeVry University, where he studied Accounting. He worked at Republic Services as a dispatcher here in Winston-Salem.

There was no soul who ever met him that didn't love him. If you are old enough to remember the show Cheers and the character Norm, then you would know that is the character Greg would play. Everyone knows his name. He was a big guy with a hearty laugh and a joyful heart. He made everyone's life whom he touched so much richer. Greg will be missed dearly.

Greg was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents; three uncles; and one aunt. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Debra and Gregory, Sr.; sister, Erika Fuiell (Kevin); niece, Alexandria; nephew, Joshua; as well as a host of family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

A visitation service will be held from 12:00pm until 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Walkertown, NC. A repast will be held at 2:00pm at New Bethel Baptist Church located at 1016 N. Trade Street, Winston-Salem, NC.
