Mr. Gregory Keith Burns was called to his eternal home on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Greg, as many people called him, was a vibrant man with a huge personality and love for life. He was a native of Winston-Salem, NC, born on July 10, 1963 to Margaret Burns and Walter Burns.   He was educated in Forsyth County Schools and received a certificate in computers from Forsyth Technical Community College.

He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Burns; grandparents, Joseph & Carolina Watkins, Willie & Julia Burns; and sister, Rogina Burns.

He is survived by his loving and faithful mother, Margaret Burns of Winston-Salem, NC; two children, Katrice Jackson of Gaithersburg, MD and Joshua Martin (grandchildren Bella & Bailey Mock) of Winston-Salem, NC;  his loving sister, Katrina Burns Wheeler of Charlotte, NC; two nieces, Ashley Wheeler Saunders (Shawn) of Charlotte, NC and Kayla Burns of Winston- Salem, NC; a faithful friend, Tangala Jackson; four aunts, Cassandra Burns, Priscilla Burns, Linda Chambers, Julia Martin; four uncles, Carl Burns, Myron Burns, Thomas Burns, and Timothy Burns; and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday, December 28, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
