Grady Lee Simmons' Obituary
Mr. Grady Lee Simmons was born September 25, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC to Grady and Otelia Simmons. He passed Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center.
He was a long time employee of R.J.R. and Brenners Steel before his failing health.
Grady was preceded in death by his beloved father and mother, Grady and Otelia Simmons, a brother, Tommie Lee Simmons; two grandmothers, Crussie Burl and Annie Simmons, and a sister-in-law, Lola Simmons.
He leaves to cherish many dear memories two daughters, Tammy and Robin Hines of Winston-Salem, NC; four grandchildren, Brandon Kennedy, Rashard, Cayla and Chelsi Hines all of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Haven Simmons of Winston-Salem, NC and Milford (Karen) Simmons of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Malvernia (Darrly) Rolle and Vanessa (James) Chisholm, all of Winston-Salem, NC; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; a devoted friend, Barbara Bonner.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
